I just remember Rhythm of the night by El Debarge when I saw it from Google trends. Reminds of times when I really enjoyed listening 80's music particularly new wave.
El Debarge appeared in BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards 2010 and gave an ultimate performance during the awards. Singing his hit songs All This Love, Time Will Reveal and of course Rhythm Of The Night.

One of the highlights during the Opening Ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2010 was the Kick-off concert performs by various prestigious artist like Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and other known artists.
In every FIFA World Cup there are official ball match, mascot and of course official song. FIFA World Cup 2010's Official Song this year is entitled Waka waka (Time for Africa) and presented by Shakira and the band Freshlyground.The song is so lively and I like how Shakira delivers the song during the Kick-off concert.

Today (Sunday,Philippines), Mother's day is celebrated in the country with messages filling up all medias. TV shows are also packed with Mother's day special.
Mother's Day is celebrated every first Sunday of May here in Philippines while second Sunday to US, Australia, Japan and others. While other countries celebrated Mother's Day in a fixed day like Mexico and Albania celebrates every May 8, Russia November 28, Poland May 26, Indonesia December 22.
In most countries, Mother's Day is celebrated with greeting their mothers and giving them gifts, some people read poems to them, sing songs. Whatever ways you choose, you should never forget to greet and thank your mother. Number one reason, she made all sacrifices in this world just to bring you here. Even in Islam preachings, according to Prophet Mohammad (SAW), if only we are allowed to praise aside from Allah, then we should be also praying to our mother.

Vincent by Don Mclean, one of the greatest hits in 70's. Don Mclean, the singer who popularized the songs American Pie and And I love you so are just few of hits during the era of folk songs. The era when artist like Jim Croce and John Denver was at their peak at mainstream radios.
As I observed, this was also the era when artists compose songs adeptly both music and lyrical content. As compare to music era wherein artists enjoys remaking or covering hits from the past. For me Vincent lyrcis is indeed simple but deep.
In my own opinion, remaking songs was also done way back in 60's to 80's. I guess I have to research more about this though. But as I remember, Carpenters also did the same with their hit song We've only just begun which was originally recorded by Smokey Roberds.

Total Eclipse of the heart popularize by Bonnie Tyler from her album Faster Than the Speed of Night. The song hit the mainstream in 1983 (I was just 2 years old by then). Bonnie Tyler was also the one who popularized the hit song It's a heartache.

One of the classics that been covered by so many artists. Original by Frankie Valli From 60's/70's like Andy Williams and Samantha Jones and some artists I still don't know. In 90's it was also covered by a former member of the band The Fugees, the group similar to Black Eyed Peas now. It also became a sensation when Heath Ledger sang it in a movie 10 Things I hate About You, a typical college life story movie.
Interestingly, the song was also covered in many different languages from countries Greece, India, Japan, France, Italy and few too mention. For me I would consider this song as Hall of Fame for its success.

I don't think the band Menudo is really that popular in Phillipines now. Way back in 80's the band is so popular and one of their hits is the song If you're not here . I remember seeing their poster when I was in grade school behind our doors.

With the lost of our "Diligent and Hardworking" colleague as described by Ark, we extend our condolence to the family of Restie Barrion who passed away yesterday due to heart attack / heat stroke. Life's seems so easy to be taken away from us. It was sort of unforgettable experience for me to see him taking his last breath while we were all trying to calm him or we didn't actually know that he needs to be revive by then.
Dying may be the hardest part in everyone's life but then we really have to accept that will eventually come unexpectedly. Just like our colleague who just came to the office from an errand job but suddenly collapsed and fell out to the floor.
From the Crossroads video below, I could imagine the soul taker yesterday walk by from us and took the soul of our colleague. Such a goosebumps experience yesterday. Yet another Sunday rest day. Here's another glam rock band that I really like way back in high school. Def Leppard's When Love and Hates Collide, one of their popular songs. But wait there's more! Taylor Swift joined the band in a live performance. Cool isn't it? Imagine a famous band way back in late 80's to early 90's will be jamming with one of the hottest country artist who was unfortunate to experience a protest from Kanye West when she was about to receive her award in MTV Awards last year. There was also an issue from that Taylor Swift dead spreads over the Internet last year.
Based from comments of this video from Youtbe, some likes it some does not. Why? Well, for an avid fans of Def Leppard they sure like to see them being appreciate more than Taylor Swift. Like this comments :

In response to Ark's comments about adding Green Day's songs to my compilation, I'm adding Good Riddance (Time of your life) lyrcis,lyicsand video as my first entry for this artist :). Why this song? It's just one of my favorites among Green Day's songs. The song is in Green Day's Nimrod album released on October 14, 1997 and got double platinum.
Also, the video won Best Alternative Video from MTV Awards in 1998 competing wtih Ben Folds Five — "Brick", Garbage — "Push It", Radiohead — "Karma Police", and The Verve — "Bitter Sweet Symphony" makes me likes it more. I know a lot of people who likes Alternative rock back in 90's loves this also ;)
As for the message of the song, it's about how fast life come and go. I also some of the lines like "Time grabs by the wrist,directs you where to go". We really don't where we'll be as time goes along, be it work or family.

From my previous post Lyrcis,lyics compilation project I mentioned that I will include Elvis Presley. Today, it will come to reality because I will be adding one entitled Love Me Tender lyrcis / lyics ;) . I remember playing this on my guitar back when I was learning. Chords and strumming pattern is very easy that's why I used to practice this song. The lyrcis or lyics is easy though.
Btw, American Idol will make this week as Elvis' Week. So most of the contestants will be singing Elvis' songs. I doubt someone from the AI contestant will sing this one because it's not that lively for stage performance. Since most of my blog posts are into an Entertainment site particularly Music, I have decided to post Lyrcis, Lyics compilation :) Yes! It's really Lyrcis and lyics. Frankly I want to attract traffic out of this misspelled keyword but be able to offer some of my compiled song Lyrcis, lyics.
Lyrcis, lyics are just two of the most misspelled keywords looking for lyrics I have decided to optimized. As I mentioned earlier about my blog are likely into a music blog, I have also posts labeled with this keywords to help people with find some of the songs they're looking for. Annually, lyrics keyword is in top 100 keywords being search globally and having this project lyrcis , lyics compilation will somehow give a market share in traffic.
Some of the bands' songs lyrcis and lyics I'm going to compile are Ugyly Kid Joe, Dishwalla, Aerosmith, Nerf Herder, Honor Society and more bands in Alternative, punk, reggae and other sub-genre of rock. I have also posted some solo artists like Katy Perry, Alanis Morissette, Shawn Colvin, and oh Justin Bieber too ;). As a dad, also working 8hrs a day, I still make sure that I spend most of my non-working day with my son. But I was never confused that Cat's In the Cradle lyrcis was covered by Gun's n Roses. [Wikipedia ] The cover of the song by Ugly Kid Joe is furthermore often confused for a cover by Guns N' Roses. Never I am got confused.

Until I wake up, I don't know why does the title just came out to my mouth when I was about to sleep last night. Since I remember that there was a song Until I Wake Up, I immediately proceeded to Youtube and look for the song.
While watching the video, I missed my wife even more because I remember the clips from the movie Sweet November which we have watched together included in the video below. I remember mocking her when we watched drama movies. I would simply look at her and see if there are tears already falling from her eyes. My wife is indeed an emotional woman.Also, the movie title is very timely because my wife left last November to work abroad. It isn't sweet after all. It was damn sad to be left behind. That's life.
Now, I'm looking forward watching movies together with my wife again. (sad) It really feels so sad to watch movies alone. To my wife, I miss you ;) take care always.
